LED Lighting Fixtures, Inc. Announces Additions to Management Team from the Lighting Industry

LED Lighting Fixtures, Inc. (LLF) today announced two key additions to its management team.
Paul Pickard has been appointed Vice President, Operations for LLF. For the past eight years, Pickard has held various management positions with Acuity Brands, Inc. and most recently served as the Director of New Product Engineering for Lithonia Lighting. Mr. Pickard brings 14 years of experience to LLF where he has managed a wide range of responsibilities including engineering, product development, manufacturing and product outsourcing. He developed and implemented Lithonia’s highly regarded central design and engineering group. He also has broad experience in transitioning US-based product lines to foreign sources.
Gary Trott joins LLF as Vice President of Product Development. Mr. Trott is a 16 year lighting industry veteran, 14 of which were spent with Acuity Brands, Inc. He has held numerous management positions in product development and marketing across multiple product segments. He has a proven track record of launching breakthrough products that have created new standards for lighting and have substantially improved end user experiences.
Neal Hunter, LLF’s CEO, stated, “We are thrilled to have Paul and Gary join our LLF team. Their lighting industry experience will be vital to the Company as we prepare to introduce new LED-based lighting systems with light output equivalent to a 65 watt incandescent lamp or 15 watt compact fluorescent lamp to the market early next year. With these additions, LLF has a proven management team that understands LED technology from the LED chip to the fixture.”
LLF expects to manufacture its initial fixtures by the first quarter of 2007 and intends to offer LED-based recessed downlighting products at a substantially lower price and with significantly higher light output and excellent color characteristics when compared to LED products currently available.
