LED Lighting Fixtures to Expand Product Line
May 04, 2007
Products to Be Demonstrated at Lightfair International 2007
Morrisville, NC, May 4, 2007
LED Lighting Fixtures, Inc. (LLF) today announced that it will release a four-inch LED-based downlight product (LR4) for commercial and residential markets beginning in the fourth quarter of 2007. The LR4 will deliver approximately 500 lumens with a wallplug input power of 10 watts. This unique product uses LLF’s proprietary LED technology that generates white light in a new way which offers beautiful color rendering (CRI > 90), and a choice of warm or cool color temperatures (2700K or 3500K). LLF will unveil early production versions of this innovative product for the first time at the 2007 Lightfair International Trade Show (Lightfair) held at the Javits Convention Center in New York City May 8-10, 2007 in booth number 2921.
LLF will also demonstrate two revolutionary LED-based prototypes at Lightfair. The first is a high-output recessed downlight that will deliver over 1,500 lumens of high quality light. The second is a recessed two foot by two foot architectural luminaire which delivers 3,800 lumens and will sell for less than $300. Both of these designs are targeted for commercial applications that currently use fluorescent sources and are expected to be released in 2008. The company used LEDs supplied by Cree, Inc. (NASDAQ: CREE) for these product demonstrations.
Mike Rogers, LLF’s President, said, “LLF has generated strong interest in the market for LED-based downlights and our four-inch product fills a strong demand for new designs. We are also excited to demonstrate the first viable LED fixture for high output commercial downlights and a fixture for large area ambient lighting which could replace conventional fluorescent lights used for office or institutional environments. This is a very large opportunity as fluorescent troffers currently make up the majority of the lighting fixture market for commercial applications.”
LLF is currently accepting orders for its LR6 six-inch LED-based downlight product through its distribution network and expects its first shipments to customers in June.
